Anthony Blackford, 39, has been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of Ange Gadji over the weekend in Gaithersburg.
Shortly before 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, officers were called to the 19700 block of North Frederick Avenue to investigate a reported shooting, where they found Gadji suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. An autopsy later determined that the cause of his death was a homicide.
On Thursday, June 6, the Montgomery County Department of Police announced that Blackford has been arrested and charged with murder.
He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit following his apprehension, where he is being held without bond.
